Our core service is to deliver the highest possible quality and personalised residential care to people living with Huntington's Disease and other acquired neurological disabilities.
These problems range from residents living with Huntington's Disease, those with long-term acquired head injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and to rarer inherited genetic neurological disabilities.
HMT-CARE also offers short and longer term rest-bite care for people and families living with neurological disabilities, and we are aiming to develop an outreach community service to support families and individuals living at home too.
We are strongly integrated into the local community and services in Herne Bay and East Kent, and have a very close and vital relationship with the local HD Society and the wider National HD community.
We also have a support network group, which is tailored to supporting relatives and friends of people who are in our care services. The support network group meets every 6-8 weeks and is led by Linda Ironside.
