Our Staff

Katie Payne

Katie Payne - Registered Manager

I am Katie Payne and I am the Registered Manager for both Albany Drive and Orchard House and have been since 2021. I have worked for HMT Care for 15 years and really enjoy the positive challenges every day brings working across both services.
As HMT Care provides specialist care for people with Huntington's Disease, I have developed a deep understanding of how to deliver support to people with Huntingtons's Disease but also how important the families and friends are to each individual.

In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, holidays, paddleboarding and going to the cinema.

Francesca Di Priamo - Deputy Manager

I have worked for HMT care since 2017, and my first role was as a kitchen assistant. I then started to undertake caring roles and now I am pleased to be a Deputy Manager having completed a vocational qualification and gained appropriate experience.

This role I am really enjoying as it is extremely varied and fundamentally I am rewarded by improving the quality of life of the residents and creating a team ethic with the staff team.

I love spending time with my family, with my son who is 4 years old and do a lot of activities with him.  I also like meeting up with friends meet and going out for dinner.

Rachel Field

Rachel Field - Deputy Manager

Rachel has been working at HMT Care for 16 years, starting as a support worker and since 2020 have been the Deputy Manager.

I came into social care as I felt it would be rewarding and 16 years on,
it remains this way. Each day is different however my desire to provide high standards of personalised care to our residents, continues to drive me each and every day.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, really enjoy cooking and I love cheese!

Glenda Fontana - Compliance Officer

I have worked for HMT Care for 4 years and responsible for supporting the Organisation to ensure we are compliant with regulations and our Policies and Procedures. Part of my role is spending time in services undertaking various audits to evidence continuous improvement, which positively impacts on the residents we support. Having been a support worker, I am able to apply this detailed knowledge of the residents in my current role.
I also coordinate staff training and recruitment, which enables me to get to know the workforce, ensuring they are appropriately trained.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring different places with my family. I also enjoy cooking and going out with friends to different eateries.

Steve McDermott

Steve McDermott - General Manager

I have worked as the General Manager at HMT Care for 18 months, which I really enjoy.

I have been in Social Care for 32 years and over this time have managed all different models of service, mainly with working aged adults.
It has been a breath of fresh air coming to HMT Care, in particular to see the staff's deeper level of understanding, particularly of Huntington's Disease, and how open the staff team are in developing their knowledge and practice across neuro disabilities.
Being a smaller Organisation, there is a real feel of togetherness, and I am able to see on a daily basis the positive impact we have on the quality of life for the people we support.

In my own time I enjoy walking (particularly with my dog), spending time with family/friends and also trying to play golf!
