The company known as HMT Care Ltd, was incepted in November 2002 and has its registered office at Cooper Burnett solicitors in Tunbridge Wells. Baker Tilly, again based in Tunbridge Wells are the company accountants.
We are a committed and highly motivated team and HMT Care enjoys recognised expertise in the strategic planning, management and care of people in the later stages of Huntington’s Disease and the development.
Our Support Centres
Albany Drive
The house at Albany Drive is an extended and specifically adapted detached dwelling, delivering high quality resident-centered care for people living with the later stages of Huntington's Disease. With a high specialist staff to resident care ratio, we are able to ensure each resident receives care tailored to their specific needs. This enables the team to maximise the independence of residents in this small unit registered with the Care Quality Commission for up to 7 residents with inherited or acquired neurological disabilities. Albany Drive is in the heart of the town, and a short distance from the sea front and Edwardian promenade of Herne Bay.
Orchard House
Orchard House, with its separate smaller Lodge, is a 15 bedded unit specialising in the residential care of people living with Huntingtons Disease and other acquired neurological disorders. The newly refurbished single story Lodge has 5 rooms registered with the Care Quality Commission, giving easy access to the large garden area for more mobile residents. The main House has a further 10 specially adapted resident rooms, with various communal sitting and dining rooms. Both houses also benefit from the newly commissioned garden pavilion that provides a dedicated space for visiting therapists and group activities.
