HMT Care is a residential home which specialises in people with Neuro-disability but in particular, Huntington's disease. People with HD require a high calorie diet with additional supplements. We are looking for a part- time weekend cook, to work, Saturday and Sunday 9.00am until 2.00pm but have the flexibility to work other days to cover annual leave. The candidate would need to prepare fresh, home cooked meals from scratch, and ideally be proficient with the regulated paperwork required to run a kitchen, including HACCP, SFBB, Temperature recording, however, training will be provided. The successful candidate must be prepared to work alone, unsupervised but using their own initiative, undertake all training required for the home to include a Level 2 in Food Hygiene. The role would require to be able to manage their day within the hours provided to complete all necessary paperwork, cleaning schedules, prepare the food and additional supplements, as well as be able to adapt the food to the needs of the individual. This will include blended, fork mashable, diabetic, high calorie fortified. This position is subjected to an Enhanced DBS.
