HMT Care
A specialist provider dedicated to the provision of residential care for people living with Huntington's Disease and other aquired neurological and physical disorders.
Welcome to HMT Care

At HMT Care, we own and manage two residential care homes in East Kent with staff and carers specifically trained and dedicated to the care of our residents, who are living with Huntington's Disease and other acquired and degenerative neurological disorders.
We are registered and regularly inspected by Her Majesty's Care Quality Commission (CQC), and both homes are currently assessed as "GOOD" by CQC for their overall care, management and safety of residents and staff.
We are proud to host the local East Kent Huntington's Association meetings, and have excellent relationships with the families and carers of our residents, responsible Commissioning Authorites, Social workers, our local expert GP surgery and the more specialist consultant hospital services responsible for the care of our residents.
Many of our residents' care is funded through their County Council and NHS Health Authorities, but we do offer self-funded places plus rest-bite care for families as and when it is needed.
Visitors are always welcome at HMT Care so if you are looking for advice on how we could help for you or a family member do get in touch - find out how to contact us here.

Our Care Services
Our core service is delivering the highest possible quality and personalised residential care to people living with Huntington's Disease and other acquired neurological disorders such as long-term acquired head injuries, Alzheimer's disease and rarer inherited genetic neuological disorders.
We also offers short and longer term rest-bite care for people and families living with neurological diseases, and are in the process of developing an outreach community service to support families and individuals living at home too.
We are strongly integrated into the local community and services in Herne Bay and East Kent, and have a very close and vital relationship with the local HD Society and the wider National HD community.
